Swapping Removable Drives
Swapping Removable Drives on the HR-1 and HR-2 In addition to their mirrored media storage volume, the HR-1 and HR-2 are available with removable drive kits for transporting your footage. For systems with this optional kit included, swapping removable drives is as easy as pulling out the removable drive and inserting a new one in. Your recorder can be operated while the removable drive is out of the recorder, however, it is not recommended that you remove or insert a drive during copying, recording, or playback operation. Because the drives are hot-swappable, you can remove or insert removable drives without having to power down your recorder. NOTE: While you can configure your system to record directly onto its removable drive, footage recorded directly onto a removable drive will not be mirrored. Swapping Removable Drives on the HR-F1 The HR-F1 records all footage directly into its removable, hot swappable drive. While you cannot remove the drive during recording or playback, this means that you can hot-swap drives without having to power down your recorder. To do so simply pull out the removable drive and insert a new one in. |
