Minimum System Requirements for Clip Playback and Editing
Playback: Wafian HR series recorders can play back clips through their user interface, or using Windows Media Player or QuickTime without needing to install a decoder. To play back clips that you record with your Wafian DDR on other systems, be sure to download the latest free CineForm decoder for Windows or for Macs (Neo Player), and also be sure that your system meets the minimum performance requirements listed below: Windows 1 - Pentium 4 hyper threaded processor at 2.8 MHz of higher, or dual core at 2.6 MHz or higher. 2 - At least 1 GB DDR RAM, but 2 GB is best for editing. 3 - 800 MHz Front Side Bus (FSB) is recommended for editing, but 667 MHz should suffice. 4 - A video card that is able to display at least 1920x1080 resolution. 5 - Windows XP Pro or newer. Macintosh 1 - Intel-based dual core at 2.6 MHz or higher. 2 - At least 1 GB DDR RAM, but 2 GB is best for editing. 3 - 800 MHz Front Side Bus (FSB) is recommended for editing, but 667 MHz should suffice. 4 - A video card that is able to display at least 1920x1080 resolution. 5 - Mac OS X 10.4 or newer (Intel-based Macs only). Editing: CineForm Intermediate clips can be edited using Final Cut Pro 5.1 or newer, CS3 After Effects for Macs, Premiere Pro 1.5 or newer, Adobe After Effects for Windows, and Sony Vegas. The HR-2 offers DPX file exports for Avid compatibility. IMPORTANT NOTE: To play back your clips within any of the supported editing programs, you do not need to purchase a CineForm codec. Instead, simply install the free CineForm decoder for Windows or for Macs. However, we recommend that you take advantage of the quality and efficiency of editing and exporting using the CineForm codec. To encode (export) your projects using the CineForm Intermediate format on Windows, you will need to purchase CineForm Prospect HD. To encode (export) your projects using the CineForm Intermediate format on Macs, you will need to purchase CineForm Neo HD. Wafian is a proud reseller of Prospect HD and Neo HD. Please contact our sales staff to purchase CineForm Prospect HD or Neo HD. NOTE: To learn how to configure your Final Cut Pro sequence using the CineForm codec, please visit Final Cut Pro Settings. |
