Connecting to an External DVI or VGA Monitor The instructions below apply only to the HR-1 and HR-2. To monitor video using your HR-F1 simply connect your VGA or DVI monitor to the VGA output in the rear panel of your recorder. This will mirror the control interface being displayed on the front panel at 1024x768 resolution. Configuration instructions for the HR-1 and HR-2:
Plug in your DVI monitor to the DVI port on the rear panel of the HR-1 and restart your system. If you have a VGA monitor, use the DVI to VGA adaptor provided with your HR-1 to connect to your monitor and follow the same steps listed below. Minimize the HR-1 application, right click on your desktop and select “Properties”. Select the “Settings” tab. Click the second monitor icon or select it from the “Display” menu field. This should be your Plug and Play (external) Monitor. Set your Screen Resolution to match that of the HR-1 front panel LCD monitor, which is 1024 x 768. Select the “Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor” checkbox. Click “Apply”. Click “Advanced”. Select the “NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT” tab. Select “nView Display Settings” on the left panel. Within the “nView Display Mode” menu field on the right, select “Clone”. Click "Apply" and then "Yes" to accept your changes. Click “OK” to close the window and “OK” to close the “Display Properties” window.
At this point your external monitor will display the video signal being displayed within the HR-1 software in full screen mode. To have both the HR-1 LCD and the external monitor display exactly the same, please follow these steps: Full Screen Video To enable full screen video on the external monitor again open the Display Properties window and go to the “Settings” tab. Now click “Advanced” and select the “NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT” tab. Within the left pane, select "Full Screen Video" and on the right within the “Full screen device” field select “Disable”. Click “OK” to close the window and then “OK” again to close the “Display Properties” window. Your external monitor and the LCD on the Wafian HR-1 will now both display the same. |
